If you have been following the Google Maps for quite some time, then you might be familiar with the  ’Google Business Photos’ that is also known as Indoor Streetview, which was started in the back April 2010 to bring new facility to the users searching for any business or other particular location. At that time, it was very hard to do so and this feature was confined only to Google+ local and Google search bar. This indoor imagery was good to see on Google+ and search results, nut not so for Google Maps.
But now Google will highlight the indoor imagery with a yellow circle, after you drag the orange pegman on the map. The images will then run up in full screen the yellow pegman with the map will go to the bottom right side of maps, from where you can drag the orange pegman to any other location.
Google has been working hard to make its maps better and better with the passage of time and this new launch will show the positive results in the popularity of Google Maps. According to Google, the indoor imagery gives you ”the feeling of being there, and the comfort of knowing what to expect when you arrive.”
One drawback of this new feature is that it’s very tough to figure out that which is the business, you are looking at. This drawback comes as the name does not appear on the map or anywhere in the Street View interface.
When Business Photos launched, Google only focused on selected countries. From then, it has expanded its reach. A few selected cities in the countries like U.S., Australia, Canada,  France, New Zealand, Ireland, Netherlands and the UK, you can hire Google-approved photographers for the work of taking 360-degree panoramic photos. Although these 360-degree images make the real use of panoramic indoor images, still if one can’t afford to hire the Google-approved photographers or are not available in their locality, then he/she can upload the normal photos via Google+ local.
These indoor imagery feature gives the feel of personally being there in the selected location. It will be interesting to see that how this new feature results for Google Maps. Check out the official video by Google Maps, demonstrating the new Indoor Imagery feature.
